I have a Studio M1 Max and still pretty happy with it.
Last week I placed an order for a new M4 Mac Mini. I received a notification from Apple today they have upgraded me to the M6 Mac Mini at no additional cost and an expected ship date of 9/28.
I'm watching this on my 2021-era MBP M1 Max with 64GB of memory and a 2TB disk. This thing is STILL a beast 5 years later. I may finally migrate to the updated MBP later this year, but the sound is great, the keyboard is great, I literally have no problems with this thing. No idea how great the battery life is anymore but that's never a problem for me since it's always plugged in.
So smart of me to have bought the M4 Mac mini when I did.
The m6 does NOT have thunderbolt 5, only the m5 pro
Apple knows the new price is so ridiculous and the upgrade is so tiny that they didn’t even bother to wait for just a few days to include this new product in the upcoming Apple Event in September. Apple raises the price because of the memory storage. However, I doubt Apple will reduce these prices when the memory supply stabilizes later.
I'm still using an intel Mac.. time to upgrade
