I’ll hold on to my Fenix 7.
9 pro is so beefy! Disappointing.. Back in the fenix 7 line, they were able to stack MIP and solar in a 14.8mm stack. Above 16mm is a step back
WOW the New GARMIN 9 LAG PRO … with the same sensor! thanks GARMIN 👌
Thanks for showing all the stock watchefaces directly available on the watch, it's good to know, for me at least 🙂
I still feel like the Fenix line peaked with the Fenix 7 Pro. Since then we’ve just had price increases without much additional benefits.
Not seeing anything so far that would tempt me to trade from my thinner/lighter (and cheaper) 970. Still uses the Elevate 5 sensor, still has gimped InReach.
We need more watches with MIP display that's the real deal
My Epix pro Gen 2 and 7X Pro Solar are still in mint condition and I’ll be keeping them till the Fenix 15 comes out 😅
No black option for MIP is a fucking shame. I'll wait for the Enduro 4.
Yeah, I think my Fenix 7XPro will be my last Garmin. The prices are just out of control.
Maps still look staggery? Awesome vid Des!
No groundbreaking new features --- in my opinion, the Forerunner 970 still seems to be the clearly better choice — lighter, cheaper, and perfectly adequate for most needs. The Fenix series is increasingly becoming a gadget you can really show off with.
Garmin Fenix 8 Pro 2
They are enshittifying the solar model. Making it crazy expensive and massively thick.
I wish the changed the charging cable connection.
What a shot in the foot — a sad update for the new generation of a premium watch...
Oh, this is just incredible! A titanium case that looks like it was carved with an axe and a green LED — exactly what Garmin was missing. I honestly do not know how we ever lived without it. And most importantly, Garmin apparently has a new way of delivering software updates now: if you want updated software, you have to buy a new watch. What an incredible leap forward.
I use garmin watches for a decade and a half now. Never in my life did i have easier choise on a new release. Took me 2 mins of garmins own trailer to see they pretty much added nothing new.
The silver on the F9 Pro MIP is sweeeeeet. That with a brown leather band is going to look sleek.
I can't believe Garmin didn't update the sensor on this update to add more health capabilities. The Pixel 5 does real time afib, blood pressure trend tracking and insulin resistance. Apple Watch does real time afib tracking and blood pressure trend tracking. Both for a lot less money. If you don't care about battery life maybe it is time to leave garmin.
