As a professional bartender, (not an exaggeration) please do this. The bottom is most likely syrupy, sugary syrup, liquor and the alcohol is at the very top, (if there is any alcohol) so you get sugar, sour/bitter/juice mixer, and then 1-3 types of straight liqueur/liquor, right into your gullet- at least half ingredients that were never meant to be consumed by themselves.

I used to bartend for almost a decade, those drink are only meant to be served like that, but before you drink you need to mix it up. Do people seriously think you drink that shit in layer? And even if it is, it's his food he gets to decide how he want to consume it. Also if someone put a fork on my ice-cream like that I would definitely talk to the manager.
