“It’s perfectly safe I tested it by hitting it with my truck-“ interesting
Moby Dick is ridiculously famous for being super long and descriptive and going on tangents completely unrelated to the story I doubt Ron would care for that lol *edit: oh YouTube , give them peace 🙏*
The fact that the truck was damaged cracks me up every time!
Ron’s crib actually looks vary vary safe.
That Moby Dick line is the perfect level of no self-awareness
A crib needs exceptionally few safety features. It needs a stable non toxic wood that wont cause allergic reactions. Dont ever use willow wood, that stuff is very harmful to sensitive skin. And it needs shaped to not have sharp edges, hence the decorative but functional rounded twist pattern. And it needs sealing in a food safe seal. Babies are gonna chew on their crib. Its normal. So make sure that whatever you seal the wood with, that its food safe to prevent issues. And while stains should be avoided, if you want to add visual benefits, beeswax and linseed oil mixed together make an excellent coating for the wood that allows you better see the natural grain and gives the flat surface a visual depth that is lost in most modern furniture. Beeswax and linseed oil are also perfectly safe after they have dried. Just make sure its real linseed oil, not synthetic. But once dry, they are safe to the skin and not harmful to the baby. And if you want another layer, a top treatment of pure beeswax adds luster and is also not just safe but actually beneficial as beeswax promotes skin health and exposure to beeswax at a young age can help prevent your child from developing bee allergies. Plus the smell of beeswax is very nice, sadly the fragrance fades after just a couple days
Parks and Recreation
Cut the best part Ron says “there’s more than one crib tree in a forest, that’s not a lesson, just a comment on lumber availability”
I'm sorry but did you see what it did to the truck?
“I hit it with my truck.” 😂
“VIOLATORS WILL BE SHOT. SURVIVORS WILL BE SHOT AGAIN.” 😂
He said the 2 things Ron would absolutely respect. Asking how to be taught a general skill that is useful. The fact that you shouldn’t trust what you didn’t make with your own hands.
The constant reminders of the meaning of kindness is one of the most important ingredients that med Parks and Rec so great!
The older I get the more I understand him
I wonder if that crib is one of the works that Nick Offerman built in his real wood shop
Ron is the most thoughtful guy on the show. It's cute.
“Why do you need to build your own crib?” “Because I no longer trust anything other than my own two hands.” Every year that line rings truer and truer.
That truck was fuked.
No one here understands the value of a crib tree
I would ask Ron: "Did Stephen Maturin actually mean to shoot Canning? He said afterward that it was due to his mangled hands."
