You've reached the end
So u saying CRT has infinite fps
Would be nice to see a modern CRT revolution.
if you're wondering, CRTs do have a refresh rate, some have between 120 and 145 khz. At that speed might as well call it instant.
Never really knew how it worked, Thank
I've wanted, so badly, for manufacturers to revisit CRT and see how they can improve upon it with all of the innovation in science in general since the 90s.
I dont know how to explain but when he tapped the crt screen, that TUNK sound brought me right back to childhood.
One difference that rarely gets mentioned. I can move my 60" OLED byyslef if careful. It took at least 3 people to move my 36" WEGA.
CRTs pixels also glow and bleed into each other so older games look beautiful - on modern displays they just look blocky and pixelated. The difference is huge
I've worked in musical production, and you'd be surprised how much we still use CRT. The orchestras, sound crew, and conductors still use CRT monitors to catch cues from the stage, because that little extra speed you get from them is actually quite important to match the music and lights with everything going on on stage 😊

Never knew those electron tube tv actually worked till you explained! That part about magnetic field guided electrons that paints a picture is insane!
I really admire your passion, man! 🎉🔥
Also the CRT has better dark color recognition and a black room is a black room not an etched out corner with gray borders
Had NEC multisyncs and Sony Trinitrons. Good times in the 90,s on PC . ALSO for TV Loewe was used , sexy TV . Long time ago
I like how knowledgeable this guy is you can tell he really likes electronics
Its also why people who were cracked at guitar hero back in the day initially struggle with clone hero, even with calibration, the switch between playing on crt to a led monitor is completely different
Also important to note is that games designed in the era of CRT's look better on CRT's because the graphic artists of the time created the artwork specifically for CRT's, exploiting the nuances of the technology. That's why retro games presented on modern LCD displays often look worse than you remember, because the LCD technology isn't made for it and doesn't recreate the same conditions the art was designed for. So it isn't just the technology that is different, but also the creativity and talent of the artists creating artwork to use the technology to its fullest.
Another perk of CRT over Oled is that there are miniscule gaps between the pixels in a CRT, and your brain automatically fills in those gaps based on the pattern of what's being displayed, so even though old games were designed with pixelart, the gaps let your brain smooth the squareness automatically, making it appear much smoother on CRT than on any OLED port.
So true, I'm daily driving the Sony CRT studio with my M5 Max
I still have one connected to my basement. Playing PS2 on that thing is still so good
