Not him slowly backing away ✨
do i have a horse:no am i still watching it:yesssss
I fear im guilty of wrapping it around my fingers 😔. I know its bad but sometimes i just do it without even noticing!
The horse looks pissed off this is frying me
My sister got a rescue horse not too long ago. Shes been heavily abused and is very butt-sensitive. I had just cleaned her stall and had just put my horse back into her stall, and so I went to get her. I gathered the lead rope correctly and clipped it onto her halter. When I opened the gate and led her out, the wind picked up and the barn owner started their car- a loud corvette(I think?) and the gate slammed shut onto her butt. It didn’t hurt her, but she bolted and my hand got fucked up. I had a massive rope burn on my fingers and palm and three of my fingers got destroyed from the rope. Couldn’t open or close my hand without it ripping apart skin or hurting like heck. Didn’t heal up for about two weeks. Still healing now! Safe to say, if I didn’t gather the rope correctly, my hand would either be broken or gone!
My great grandmother lost her index finger while leading a horse from a moving car. She was 19
"where is our horse standing" gone. he yearns for freedom
Im 11 and I am so glad you taught this!! We get told the same thing. My instructors freind got killed because the lead rope choked her and the horse bolted. (And I needed a little reminder)
Best teacher ever❤🎉😊
If you ever feel dumb just remember I did this with a 20ft rope around my shoulder recently… I did in fact get dragged.
Do I have a horse:❌️ Did I watch till the end: ✅️
I learned from my teacher years ago to put the majority of the rope in the hand away from the horse and use the other hand to lead them a bit more freely. It is also easier to adjust the length of the lead rope this way.
I discovered this would not be a problem for me, though I still don't do it. Because, if the horse spooks, I reactively grip the lead (or in that instance the lunge) so hard, I fly 2metres and get dragged until I get my bearings or the horse stops. Luckily I flew 2m and only got dragged a few centimetres, because the horse stood still immediately 😂
I’m a western rider and personally I like folding it in circles like a lunge line. I hold the lead rope with the hand farthest from the horse and then hold maybe a inch below the halter to have full control
As a horse person who owns horses and teaches kids about horses I will tell you we teach kids these safety rules but behind closed doors we don’t we lead them by the halter and we carry it however we want besides wrapping around our wrists and necks
Is it just me or anyone only watching the horse slowly backing away and completely ignore the lady😭😭😭😭✌✌✌✌
This is so helpful. I haven't rode a horse since I was 10 i I forget everything 😂
Do I ride/own a horse: no Did I still watch the whole video:yes
Him slowly backing away is too funny
