I give my calfs bucket licks, and it helps keep ringworm away. The last time we had quite a bit, we mixed some minerals in the feed and sprayed the ringworm with iodine.

In hot dry weather the cattle need more vitamins to keep up their immune systems that can cause ringworm
Phil...more trough space needed for feeding your stock.....avoid shy feeders...
I caught ringworm off cattle supposedly ....but none of the cattle showed any signs . Apparently the spores can live in wood for years until some creature including humans touches it . Took six weeks on medication to get rid and I still have the scars .😮

Have ringworm here within a few weeks of buying cattle in spring time. It can be harboured in shed timbers or fencepost etc from a previously infected animal. UV light seems to get rid fairly quickly but as you say this is not a great time of year for the cycle to be starting. I always wear disposable gloves around livestock - knew a vet who picked up TB. On the fencing, I find the rachet type tensioner brilliant to tighten the high tensile wire - easy to tighten a notch if required. Keep up the good work Phil.
I had bucket calfs I got of a dealer last year that had awful ringworm I used bactokill and a shot of calf thrive and it worked very well

Hi, put Bactokill 55 on the calfs a few times. I found it very good a few years ago.
Another good video, enjoyed the stock update, couldn't help notice you seem to be in pain, probably your back.In any case get yourself a big hot tub (with jets) soak yourself every evening and your pain will go away. In 20 years you'll thank me.
