does nobody realize this is because xbox is also going digital only? they wouldn't be doing this if they weren't going digital only and stopping discs just like sony

Damn the whole reason I got the Xbox Series X is because a lot of awesome games that were on both ps3 and Xbox360 can actually still be played on the newer Xbox

I feel like an overlooked advantage for this feature are games that support Xbox Play Anywhere. Imagine having a physical copy of an Xbox game that you could also play on your PC without having to buy it again. I know it's probably a niche thing since you'd have to own an Xbox and a PC, but as someone that already has both, I think this is an absolute win.

They are more than likely doing this because they are going all digital in the Xbox 5 and saw the people whining about Sony.

It's a cool idea.. but if you give anyone else a loan of the disk or sell the disk, the moment someone else puts it in there console It instantly disables it from your xbox...

Do I need to be a specific level of insider? edit: delta ring gets it september 1st alpha and beta rings got it 31st no updates on omega ring
