We are officially announcing CLOSED BETA #2 ahead of The FPS Games Show. Pre-Order now to guarantee access - with limited access being handed out in waves. This is a genuine scale test where we want players to jump in and break our systems - right after The FPS Games Show. To validate the stability of our systems properly, we will be increasing the number of Steam Playtest invitees in waves rather than opening the beta completely. This is to test areas of the game that only break at scale, such as server scaling and browsing, Twitch Drops, DLC entitlements, VOIP and our login queue. // The FPS Games Show - Sept 3rd / 18:00 UTC / 2 PM EDT / 7 PM BST Whilst announcing this Closed Beta early is one less announcement we were planning to drop at The FPS Games Show - we still have a HUGE announcement that no one will see coming... It's definitely worth still tuning in if you want to be the first to find out. Follow 'The FPS Games Show' on Twitch Right Here: twitch.tv/thefpsgamesshow

Sir, a second beta has hit the internet.
WHY ISN’T IT JUST OPEN? On the surface, this might seem like a good idea, if you’re comparing our systems to AAA Franchises, they have very mature and proven systems that have been used on countless iterations of their franchises. Imagine there is a house fire, you’re a firefighter.. you turn up and your sole job is to put the fire out.. then after the fact when the house has burned down… it’s not until the days after that you figure out what the source of the blaze was. In this situation, what we’re doing is starting a controlled fire and seeing what burns the fastest to help us prevent and manage a blaze if one does occur in the future. Our stuff, is all new.. and whilst its subject to a lot of automated testing with fake clients… real humans are different. If we open the flood gates, very very few systems hold up to the numbers we hit in our first beta, having 100,000 players spam a queue isn’t that useful to us.. What we want to know is really boring stuff, like “what happens when over 100k players are in the server browser, and everyone is clicking on servers..” It’s infinitely more difficult to find the cause of an issue if everything is on fire, and that’s the best analogy here. So, if you really want to give the game a go, pre-order the game and you will guarantee your access.. As always, if it’s not the game for you, please refund it, Steam’s terms of service will allow you to refund a pre-ordered game any time prior to it’s release. We will be letting in more players via the Steam beta system over the weekend, but there is no guarantee you will get in. We have had so many pre-orders at this point that we cannot simply guarantee access to everyone outside of pre-orders until we’ve battle-tested our backend for launch. /app/1867240/WARDOGS
