Gamers are funny, why would you ever put an expiration date on your protest? The implication then becomes that you'll return to the norm once a week passes.
These limited-time “boycotts” are extremely frustrating. People who participate in these only for the “designated time” do not understand what the word boycott means. It’s supposed to mean that you stop using a service UNTIL they change, and yes, that means NEVER using the service again if they don’t. Putting an arbitrary time limit on your boycott is just telling the target that they don’t have to worry, because the boycott WILL end, therefore they’ve already won.

This reminds me of the one-day YouTube boycott… Let it be known that boycotts must *not* have an end-date.
