Actually they do get sent back, but not to their deaths. Remember even Spiderman 2099 said in Across the Spiderverse that Peter from Earth 199999 messed up the multiverse because of Dr. Strange's spell. They were all cured and now alive in their respective universes. And this will have massive impact on how Doom lost his family leading up to Doomsday.

In context.....goblin is a coward and switched over control back to Norman last second......it just so happens to work out for this edit 😅

No when they were cured, they were all sent back to their original lives, and never became villains in the other multiverses. Otto successfully made the sun replica, Norman successfully made his suit to give to the military, lizard successfully grew back his arm, and healed those without limbs, sandman never fell into the machine, and finally electro never fell into the pool of eels.

If you look at his expression when he got sent back he looked like he wanted to change his death if you see his expression and the oh showed be didnt want to be killed

It was really well done to fit with the original scene, in that moment he did feel regret, but more so just regret that he lost and that harry will likely know what he has done. This does a really cool reframing of the scene, making it seem like the regret he feels isn't that he's dead - it's finally regret for what he has actually done. No way home framed theseoments in such interesting ways, it gives that moment where doctor octavious snaps back to himself with peter, like he closed his eyes one second entering a portal to go back to his own reality, and he opens his eyes back to seeing peter trying to reason with him before he takes control of his arms and sacrifices himself.

The "Oh" was actually green goblin relinquishing control to Norman because Green Goblin is the actual coward that he accuses Norman of being.

Don't they get sent back to when they were taken, which would be some point just after when he found out Peter was Spider-Man as that's when the others described themselves being taken? Otto says he had Spider-Man by the throat when he was taken which is right at the end of Spider-Man 2 when Peter reveals himself to him. Electro says he was absorbing data about to turn into pure energy which is at the end of TASM 2 where he either found out Peter was Spider-Man from that data or from Gwen calling him Peter. So it's likely he got sent back to some point just after the thanksgiving dinner when he found out and was going to go attack Aunt May.
