Just by looking at it on my personal TV, I believe they've pushed it to native 4K here. Except for menus and some HUD elements that appear blurry, the image is nearly flawless and razor-sharp. This game's visuals have already aged gracefully, and this resolution bump takes them to the next level, so that alone makes me very happy with this update

let this further cement the fact that mario kart 8 deluxe is essentially to be treated as the traditional mario kart experience alongside the newer more experimental one, in this new era of nintendo. it's in an interesting position where it's been pretty swiftly overshadowed but its support won't actually die out until the nintendo switch as a line of consoles dies out

Welcomed update. A bit unfortunate 4 player split screen still runs at 30fps when ARMS did improve it to 60fps

Yeah MK8 Deluxe still sells around 1+ Million Copies every year. I totally understand why they'd update it on Switch 2.
