ABOUT TALES OF FEAR: Tales of Fear is a first-person horror adventure featuring playable retellings of various horror stories. Some of them are fictional, while others are based on real events, and it's up to you to figure out which ones are true. Case 01 - Enfield Encounter Patrick McKelvy's relaxed evening turns out to be a dangerous nightmare that he is forced to endure while fearing for his life. He encounters a creature that does not exist in any history book and causes great chaos in his city. Case 02 - Alice and Bob An employee of a large tech company takes on a night shift with his colleague that will haunt him for a long time afterward. An experiment in artificial intelligence is supposed to take the company to the next level. When his coworker suddenly has an emergency, he is left alone with the experiment. It goes well, too well, until he loses control of the AI models. Case 03 - Doai Station Kaito, a freelance journalist chasing a rumor at Mount Tanigawa, decides to take the last train home. As the train arrives, he is on the phone with his brother, Haru, when the connection suddenly breaks. While waiting for Kaito's arrival, Haru becomes anxious, only to find out that the last train from Doai Station had already left hours before the phone call. Jonathan Frakes as the narrator in this game would've been perfect.
Horror game idea (especially for us folks who are nervous around spiders): you have to escape from some monster, but instead of having a dog or cat as a companion you have a giant spider friend that webs up corridors so the monster can't catch you, lets down lines of spider silk so you can climb down into safe areas, and maybe can attack and paralyze the monster with it's venom to slow then down for a bit. Instead of the spider being the monster, it can be your friend.

I knew the first story sounded familiar. The creature is known as "The Enfield Horror", and as the game said it was in 1973 when it was sighted.
i literally heard of the enfield encounter yesterday! i think one theory was that it was someone's escaped pet kangaroo, so the dad jokingly saying kangaroo was fun.

I was walking the dog around a field in the dark once. I used my torch and saw a pair of glowing eyes around 7 foot off the floor, just out of reach of the torch. Scared me so much, my eyes went wet and stary. I unclenched and walked over to confront it, but realised it was a fkn cat halfway up a tree.

it's like the game version of beyond belief fact or fiction tv show. i really loved that and this brings back that atmosphere. i'd love to see more episodes in this game. For the first one search for The Enfield Horror.

Random dude: "I don't work here, but I decided to turn up every day to play Janitor because I enjoy it!" 🤪 I don't know about anyone else, but I'd be very freaked out over a random retired dude just showing up to my office space and cleaning! Unless the job was advertised as voluntary work with no pay, what the hell is he doing there!? 😨
