You've reached the end
I would check the guest reviews of the place that gave the bad review
I would accept. It’s possible he booked the Airbnb and then his guests left early. While damage I can understand being an issue, I’ve stayed at airbnbs where the furniture was atrociously cheap. It felt like cardboard. My kids were little and I actually wouldn’t let them on the couches because they were in a “jumping” phase and I was worried they would break it. We also booked last minute. We weren’t planning on staying overnight the night we were there, and then decided to just stay at the last minute. It’s not suspicious for people to book last minute airBnb’s — especially if only for a weekend and if they have decent money. Only sus for people with a tight budget.
That seems like a specific type of party... Bedsheets, bed damage, 4 people, extra cleaning... iykyk
Hmmmm seems sus. Especially so last minute. Like their original party location fell through
We're in that black mirror episode where everyone rates everyone. Anyone want to go outside and scream?
Another reason to just choose hotels- they’re not going to question your “last minute booking” made 2 days in advance 😂 God forbid someone not plan things months in advance
Nope… just wasn’t worth it. You did the right thing.
Nope I wouldn’t have accepted it either
I would not have. And I get that slow months are a thing, but damage that costs you money in an already low cash flow period is not worth the risk. Especially when you have data that it has been an issue before.
They threw up on the beds.
the “party” review is so incredibly vague, I think they should get the benefit of the doubt. I’d let them book. I stayed at an Airbnb while repairs were done at my apartment and my parents visited me and I got a message confirming I knew there were no parties allowed😂. Unfortunately just like there are bad guests, there are bad hosts too
I had a host give me a 2 star because I didnt wash the dishes(put them in sink and loaded dishes washer), didnt strip beds, didn't wash towels, said left water bottles everywhere, and lastly the one that made me delete airbnb was because I didnt put a bag in trash can after I threw it out. I dont know why I pay a cleaning fee when I am expected to clean everything when leaving. I get leaving it not damaged, not disgusting, but stripping bed linens shouldn't be a requirement, and definitely should be a big deal if I took the trash out before we left and didnt put a bag. Now, I just stay at hotels, tends to be better for me.
its so odd to me that some host are so against parties / gatherings as if people dont visit places to see family & friends & want to have company idk i follow another host she encourages parties at her air bnbs like bachelorettes for example & she talks about how its not a big deal cleaning up a mess because it is what she signed up for / her job & doesn't expect perfection from guest & id say majority of her cleanings aren't bad idk i find when guest have to sneakily have a party they dont care about the cleanup afterward because they know they'll never book with you again
It’s starting to feel like Airbnb hosts are just looking for anything to complain about like I get negative reviews But at this point, I feel like Airbnb hosts who make videos to tell these stories turn them into a dramatic event that happened.
If you have one bad review then no one should book with you by the same logic lol
I think it was a bullet dodged.
I don’t pay attention to or write reviews. Maybe I should more but I’m pretty protected if anything happens. Also, it’s so subjective on both sides.
I would accept
Didn’t you run into an issue similar to this to where a vrbo guest only had one star and were judging them based on that? I would book them personally since some hosts can be picky. Edit: I sped through the short, so you’re asking/complaining to your audience whether to book this person or not and you’re judging them SOLELY on their reviews instead of idk maybe actually hosting the person and then it was all for nothing? It doesn’t make sense to me and this is why I refuse to book Airbnbs.
This is the BEST chanel to make me NEVER book an air BnB again. Get a job lady.
