I don't know about most people, but I'd be perfectly fine with someone eating a sweet treat they had stashed away while watching a classic childhood movie. I'd probably be watching it, too. Then again, I'm not hot, so I don't think anyone would have reservations about getting comfortable in my proximity.

Storytime: Take into consideration this was the 80s. Christmas, overbooked flight. They offer free tickets to give up your seat. Already been chatting with the guy beside me. We looked at each other & volunteered our seats. Drinks at the bar until the next flight. Second flight overbooked again! Same routine - hop off, drinks at the bar. Third flight was canceled due to ice. Got a free hotel room near the Dallas airport and a lovely night with a new friend. Cleaned up the details in case my niece reads this. 😏
