Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 First Look: What’s New Over The 411?

Autos and Vehicles

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 is here, bringing the 440cc engine from the Scram 440 into the more familiar Himalayan 411 chassis. So, what's actually changed? The Himalayan 440 gets the same engine and six-speed gearbox as the Scram 440, producing 25.4 bhp and 34 Nm. The chassis remains largely unchanged, but Royal Enfield has strengthened the subframe with a steel-alloy construction to better support accessories such as a top box. Other updates include a new LED headlamp, revised instrument cluster, larger front and rear brake calipers and three new colour options. The biggest change, however, could be the price. At ₹2.29 lakh, the Himalayan 440 is only around ₹6,000 more than the Himalayan 411's 2023 price of ₹2.23 lakh. With the Himalayan 450 now priced above ₹3 lakh, the 440 could serve as a more accessible alternative for riders who prefer the lighter, simpler Himalayan 411 formula but want better highway capability. We take a closer look at the Royal Enfield Himalayan 440, what has changed from the 411, how it compares to the Himalayan 450, and why Royal Enfield has brought this version to market. The full first ride review of the Himalayan 440 is coming soon. #PowerDrift #RoyalEnfield #Himalayan440 Chapters - 00:00 - Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 First Look 00:35 - Engine & 6-Speed Gearbox 00:59 - Chassis & Stronger Subframe 1:36 - Instrument Cluster & LED Headlamp 2:18 - Price & What Has Changed 2:34 - Why The Himalayan 440 Exists 3:28 - Bigger Brakes & Suspension 3:55 - Himalayan 440 First Ride Coming Soon Join the 3 Million strong #PDArmy: http://bit.ly/PDARMY Listen to the #PowerDriftPlaylist: https://spoti.fi/3Ny2uVr Follow us on: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/powerdrift/ Facebook: http://facebook.com/POWERDRIFTOFFICIAL/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/powerdrift WhatsApp: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VamrxqfL7UVRtRwR9F3N Threads: https://www.threads.net/@powerdrift Josh: https://bit.ly/3O8Y6fJ
