Walton was a great keeper. Proven. So why replace him with some random tall dude? Makes zero sense and here is the consequences of such bizarre decisions. Could also apply to alot of the new signings and the quality player they replace. Burns and Fatawu/McAteer is another excellent example. This was a poor poor performance

We've spent nearly £200,000,000 and are starting with 3 out of 4 defenders that got relegated with us last time. And also, one of them is out of position. Why did we buy 50 central midfielders when only 2 of them can play? Drop Scherpen before its too late as well. Walton would have saved at least 1 of those goals 100%.

The strategy seemed to be to expect Liverpool to come out of the gate hard and fast and so we played toward tight and defensive. Big mistake. We should have gone for the jugular and pulled out every sleight of hand to deflect attention this way and that to make it happen. Twice. It would have flattened Liverpool's morale. We also need a galvanising player to step up. We had that with Burns. I really hope it will be Lukic.

To be fair, Scherpen got better after the 2 goals. But too late as the team struggled to score. Keep going tho, You guys can do it.
