Wirtz’s pressing at the front was fine and his positioning was solid, he often ended up as a decoy or someone to create space for others. Also, Araujo absolutely got forward today! He ended up past Szobo often and even got into the right inside channel all the way into Ipswich’s box! I swear, these guys don’t actually watch the game.

The fans are behind Wirtz. He is starting to show in moments. This game, the double pivot couldn't keep the ball and get it to him. He always looks like he has to play safe, because most of the time the opposition locks him out of the game.

Wirtz is a player that is good for a team like ManCity. Slow progression and short passes around the box, one twos. Not a player for fast counter attacks
