I HAVE SO MUCH TO CATCH UP ON. π What started as a little brain dump of everything I needed to get done turned into THREE DAYS of catching up because... well... life with five kids is BUSY! Between school, sports, activities, appointments, birthdays, driving, and everything else that comes with having a big family, sometimes the house and the to-do list just have to wait. And that's exactly where I've been. So in today's video, we're catching up on ALL the things I've been putting off and just getting life back into some sort of order. I start upstairs with a BIG deep clean of the playroom and our theater room. Those spaces had accumulated SO much stuff and desperately needed some attention. Then I tackle the bathroom and basically work my way through the entire upstairs before finally moving on to one of the things I've been avoiding the MOST... My closet. I had more than TWO WEEKS worth of clothes that needed to be put away. π³ Two weeks. I just kept putting it off because I genuinely haven't had the time to deal with it, and eventually you reach that point where you realize avoiding something is actually taking up more mental space than just doing it. So... we're doing it. I'm also making a super quick and easy dinner because WHO HAS TIME?! π We're talking about upcoming birthday party ideas, what's happening with the kids, my oldest daughter learning to drive and looking for a car, all of the activities and schedules we're juggling, and basically just catching you up on everything happening around here. This is one of those videos where we're just hanging out. Cleaning. Catching up. Talking about life. Getting things done. And probably getting distracted along the way. π If you're also in a season where your to-do list seems to multiply faster than you can cross things off, I hope this gives you a little company and maybe even some motivation to tackle one thing you've been putting off. You don't have to get everything done today. Sometimes it takes three days. Sometimes it takes three weeks. We're just doing what we can and trying again tomorrow. β€οΈ Thanks for hanging out with me! β Kim #TheWads #MomLife #CleaningMotivation #CleanWithMe #RealisticCleaning #MomOfFive #LifeWithKids #HomeReset #DeepCleaning #HouseCleaning #CleaningVlog #MomVlog #FamilyVlog #HomeOrganization #Decluttering #BusyMom #RealisticMomLife #EasyDinnerIdeas #DayInTheLife

Oh friend, maybe switch the family perspective from βmothers touchβ to βchildrensβ touchβ. weβre raising adults to respect and care for their environment, the world around them and leave spaces ready for the next person. π€
a 5-10 minute nightly family cleanup would do wonders in your house. Yes, some areas need a mother's touch for deeper cleans, but children of all ages can pick up after themselves. Especially when I saw a couple of the kids in your video while you put their toys away. No, that's their responsibility.
You should declutter some of the blankets π and why not have the kids help you upstairs as they made the mess you shouldn't have to clean it yourself
π± clean up in aisle 7,8,9,10,11,12 and so on π€£ iβd have left it for all the kids to clean first then do the mothers touch
Take any old blankets or towels to the animal shelter they always need them except crocheted ones
I ALWAYS had my children pick up after their selves and their friends if they stayed over
Kim, I love watching your channel. I had. 4 kids in 7 years so I know how you feel. You have to get into the practice of putting things away as you use them. Itβs so hard if you donβt to keep up with the house. The kids have to get on board with that too. We had a nightly routine of pick up before bed. Keep hanging in there .
Children should be taught to clean up after themselves. It may not be 100% tidy but they will learn responsibility n accountability. The playroom is a total disaster, again. You always have excuses so maybe it is for content/channel. And that could help you with the rest of your homeβ¦β¦
And have there friends pick up after themselves theyade the mess they need to clean it I always made my kids pick up after themselves as I use to tell them and I tell my grandkids now u made the mess you clean it
So glad I Took a littleβ field trip, field tripβ to YouTube to see my bestie Kimberly whisk posted a video 5 mins ago!
Im sorry kim if the kids did make this mess thy thy should be made to clean it thy are not babys and if there friend helped make the mess thy should either help or not beable to come again till thy learn to help as you shoundnt have to clean it up after them .
I was feeling stressed for you when I saw your to do list!! But I feel you! As a mom and homeowner the projects really never end! π
Nope, love the privilege of a playroom...but they need to respect it. If you said no paint ( its in the cupboard) then its a no. Also why are they not folding/tiding up? presumably the teens? ......
Hey party people ππ
A year ago... '04 or '03... Kim, I live like you too! This was a hoot!!
I live alone someday one of your kids might. If they dont learn to at least try n clear up their own mess as kids and basic life skills then later life may be difficult.
Your dog is really cute & chill. He or she looks like a perfect addition to your family. Could we meet he or she?
I just went through the driving & car buying with my youngest daughter. I decided this go round to go with a driving class. One of our local colleges offered one & she ended up being able to attend for free!! Saved me $450!! They only offer a select number of scholarships so I applied quickly & was thrilled she got it. I will say the class did wonders for her confidence & skills!! She just took her actual driving test a week ago & scored a 92!! They did an excellent job of teaching her to parallel park, park & a lot of the little stuff we donβt think about because weβve been driving forever. The older I get the more my nerves canβt handle riding in the car & having no wheel or brakes to control, lol. I also spent a lot of time finding her a car. Months of looking, test driving & researching went into it. Iβm so glad I donβt ever have to do that again but it makes me sad that both my girls are now grown enough to be driving π’. Anyhoo, check with your local colleges/tech schools to see if they offer any type of driving course. We are in GA, basically your neighbor π β€
Hello Kim! I love watching your organizational videos. You always have good ideasβ¨οΈ and such joy and positivity. πΏ Please take care of yourself and catch a little rest too. βΊοΈEven super moms need a break sometimes. π΄π
TIP from me to you. If you have one of those clothes dryer brushes used to clean the vent hose. Shove it into the hose part if the vacuum and then turn it over and shove into the hole that the hose runs from and you have a big clog of dust jar etc. works like a charm if it has zero suction in the hose.
