🌀 1. What is Jujutsu Kaisen about? The JJK world is basically built around Cursed Energy. Humans naturally produce cursed energy from negative emotions like: Fear 😨 Anger 😡 Sadness 😢 Hatred 😈 Most normal people can't control it, so cursed energy leaks out and creates Cursed Spirits. Jujutsu Sorcerers are people who can control cursed energy and use it to fight curses. 👹 2. Sukuna — the King of Curses Ryomen Sukuna is the strongest ancient sorcerer/curse-related being in JJK history. Over 1,000 years ago, during the Heian Era, Sukuna was basically a monster among monsters. He had: Incredible cursed energy Two pairs of arms Two faces Extremely powerful techniques Malevolent Shrine, his Domain Expansion After Sukuna died, his power remained inside 20 fingers. Those fingers became cursed objects. Then Yuji enters the story... Yuji eats one of Sukuna's fingers. 💀 Sukuna wakes up inside Yuji. That's why Yuji becomes Sukuna's vessel. 👦 3. Yuji Itadori Yuji starts as a normal high-school student with INSANE physical strength. After eating Sukuna's finger, he becomes his vessel. The important part: Yuji isn't Sukuna. They are two separate personalities sharing one body. Yuji spends much of the story trying to prevent Sukuna from hurting people. 👓 4. Gojo Satoru Gojo is born with two extremely rare abilities: Six Eyes 👁 Allows Gojo to perceive cursed energy with incredible precision. Limitless ♾ Allows him to manipulate space. His famous ability: Infinity Imagine trying to touch Gojo. Your hand gets closer... and closer... but never actually reaches him. That's Infinity. Gojo is considered the strongest modern-era sorcerer. 🩸 5. Kenjaku — the BIG mastermind This is where JJK gets crazy. Kenjaku is an ancient sorcerer who can transfer his brain into other people's bodies. That's why Kenjaku has possessed multiple people throughout history. The most important one: Suguru Geto Kenjaku takes over Geto's corpse after Geto dies. So when you see "Geto" later in the story... That isn't actually Geto. It's Kenjaku controlling Geto's body. 🧑🤝🧑 6. Gojo & Geto This relationship is VERY important. Gojo and Geto were best friends when they were students. They were basically: Gojo = strongest Geto = extremely powerful curse user But Geto gradually became disgusted with ordinary humans. He started believing: Sorcerers shouldn't have to die protecting non-sorcerers. Eventually Geto became a villain. Gojo was forced to kill him. 💔 That's why seeing Kenjaku inside Geto's body affects Gojo so much. 🐍 7. Toji Fushiguro Toji is one of the most important characters in the entire lore. He was born into the Zenin clan but had almost zero cursed energy. Instead, he had an extreme Heavenly Restriction. Result: 💪 Superhuman physical abilities ⚡ Insane speed 👁 Incredible senses 🔪 Mastery of cursed weapons Toji was strong enough to defeat young Gojo. 👦 8. Megumi Fushiguro Toji's son is: Megumi Fushiguro. Megumi inherited the Ten Shadows Technique from the Zenin bloodline. This technique allows him to summon shikigami, including: 🐺 Divine Dogs 🐍 Great Serpent 🐸 Toad 🐘 Max Elephant 🐰 Rabbit Escape ⚡ Mahoraga And Mahoraga is especially important... ☠ 9. If Mahoraga experiences an attack enough, it can adapt to it. That's why Sukuna becomes interested in Megumi's technique. 👑 10. Why Sukuna wants Megumi This is one of the biggest plot points. Sukuna realizes that Megumi's Ten Shadows Technique can potentially give him something incredibly valuable: Mahoraga. Sukuna eventually takes control of Megumi's body. That means: Sukuna + Ten Shadows + Mahoraga = absolutely terrifying. 🧠 11. The Culling Game Kenjaku creates the Culling Game, a giant supernatural battle involving awakened sorcerers and cursed beings. His larger goal involves: Tengen. Tengen is an extremely powerful immortal jujutsu entity who maintains barriers throughout Japan. Kenjaku wants to use Tengen and the Culling Game to force a massive merger involving humanity. Basically: Kenjaku's plan = manipulate cursed energy on a massive scale and evolve/merge humanity. 🌳 12. Tengen Tengen started as a human sorcerer. Because of their immortality technique, Tengen continually evolves. Eventually, Tengen becomes increasingly non-human. Tengen's barriers are extremely important to Japanese jujutsu society. That's why Kenjaku wants Tengen. 🩸 13. The Death Paintings The Death Paintings are special cursed objects created through a horrifying combination of humans and cursed spirits. The most famous are: Choso, Eso, and Kechizu. Choso eventually becomes extremely important to Yuji. And there's a major connection: Yuji and Choso are connected through Kenjaku.
