On today’s episode of Murphys Diesel, we return to the same flood-ravaged area where Wrecker Rick recently recovered multiple vehicles damaged and displaced by the flooding. Volunteers have been working nonstop to help families clean up their properties, clear debris, and rebuild what they can. When one of the skid steers helping with that cleanup becomes buried in a creek, there’s no question about heading back out to help. Thinking it will be a quick job, Wrecker Rick brings his own skid steer down to the creek to pull the volunteer crew’s machine free. That plan doesn’t last long. The soft creek bottom quickly turns one stuck skid steer into TWO. While attempting the rescue, Wrecker Rick’s machine sinks in too, leaving thousands of pounds of heavy equipment buried where a conventional tow truck can’t simply back in and hook up.
