The thing was that skeleton of giant Ant-man was supposed to be because they had afterward realized they had messed up the continuity of endgame because Ant-man was in the middle of doing something important with the time van yet when they come back to the regular action on the battlefield, giant ant man was still in the background, kicking the crap out of the big whale thing and doing other stuff. So there were two Ant-man’s running around at the same time, somehow. This was supposed to somehow explain why that had occurred by proposing that there had been some kind of a schism, and the TVA had come in and pruned the other Ant-man.

He wasn't supposed to die and end up in the void. Paul Rudd improvised and just went for it, the director liked it so much he kept it in the movie

Pretty sure it’s supposed to explain why antman was in the van and also fighting a spaceship during endgame. I think it’s supposed to be the version of him that was fighting the spaceship that they forgot to take out so they made it part of the lore by sending the variant of him that wasn’t supposed to be in that timeline

They used it to explain away a visual inconsistency in one of the endgame scenes where giant ant man was in the background fighting a chitauri whale even though a few scenes prior he was doing stuff with the Time Machine van.

Or that version couldn't be shrunk down and had to find a spot to put him. But the other works also, because their couldn't be two of them that as soon as the battle ended they purged the bigger one then the sister twin of Xavier found him and ended the giant antman

Thats the real antman from the endgame movie so maybe the place where the forgotten go in deadpool is just the world where thanos managed to win

Or maybe it means absolutely nothing or everything all at once. It’s almost like the writes can completely disregard it and it’s from a random multiverse or they can add a single line to the current universe or they can make it the last heroic act of the ant man we know.
