For those who want a bit more information - Morgan Wagner trained her Appaloosa gelding (Endo) to adapt after a chronic illness caused him to lose both eyes. Diagnosed with severe Equine Recurrent Uveitis, glaucoma (and cataracts at age eight) Endo underwent surgery to remove both eyes by age 12 to relieve his chronic pain. Before the surgeries, Morgan spent months training him to navigate environments using touch, scent, and explicit verbal commands. The training enabled the pair to compete at master levels and achieve three official Guinness World Records. Working on Guinness World Records, Endo secured titles for the highest free jump by a blind horse at 106 cm, the fastest time for a blind horse to weave five poles at 6.93 seconds, and the most flying lead changes in one minute with 39 repetitions. After a long competitive career and gaining a massive global following, Endo sadly passed away at age 26 due to sudden health complications.
