The video is a guide for people who already have a media server and are looking for a better way to watch their content, rather than a solution for an average user without a personal digital library.
This makes so much sense, when you translate these German words to English. ErsatzTV means "replacement TV" and Quasi TV means "almost TV".

I have been running a Plex server since 2014 and have been wanting something like this basically ever since. I think that since I have been waiting this long, I will wait a little longer for it to develop another 6 months or so, but then I will be jumping onboard. Ideally, I would like to NOT have to buy a Google TV box. I quite like my AppleTV and Roku Ultra, though Roku is on the downturn lately.
As an artist and tech geek myself I really appreciate the remarks on the AI logos. Hopefully the developer will see this and remove them. There are plenty of artists out there who can make logos.
