With these videos I want to show off cool speedruns, explain how they work, and entertain. Incredibly realistic game where instead of solving the drain issue the professionals make it other people's problem to save minutes of work.
never thought a game about unclogging drains would have backwards long jumping
The citizens of the town are gonna be so mad when they come back and there's still water everywhere, now with patches of dirt
Real Civil Engineer has been really quiet since this dropped
Imagine if your city was flooded and you looked out your window and just saw some dude jumping backwards while glitching out and just straight up deleting water out of existence?
I like to imagine that a bunch of the water that gets glitch-sent to unknown locations goes into your neighbor's yard off-screen.
I swear these games don’t exist, but somehow you just manifest them into existence
honestly the water physics for this game is really cool, i didnt expect it to be so good
holy refresh pull
watching rce complete the game over multiple long episodes with real engineering and then there's this:
Guys if anyone else was here for the live u know how many times we had to listen to the beginning portion cuz it was originally gonna be a live voice over 😭 luckily he decided to do a post voice over after like 20 times
I watched the entire video and can conclude that this is A Speedrun About Unclogging Drains
I like how speedrunning is just being a really lazy civil servant like 'well my meter says that all the water is gone soo I guess thats a job well done' while ankle deep in said water
Water Restoration Technician. Pay is 32k-52k. IIRCR Certification required (ANSI). There's 3 categories of water (clean, Grey, black) and 4 classes. Tons of money in the business. Mostly insurance claims. Tons of packing away furniture or disposal depending on category. Main difference is from the game is calling a plumber to stop water first. The trick is pulling baseboards and drilling holes behind them, placing fans and dehumidifiers. Once dry, slap the baseboards back on. One of the fondest memories of working in the industry was a project where 9/10 floors of condos were flooded. 4 of us techs and a temp (worked his tail off). Boss was gone and chain of lead ratted on the temp for wearing headphones. I called out the hypocrisy. Got fired. Got hired for a diffent company for lead tech. Did ones and twos for 2 days. 3rd day, got handed my job for the day. It was that same project. Didn't want to do it cause I know the building manager had us changing the class and cat to cut corners. I explained it to CEO. Didnt sign the contract. The relief. 4/10 Would not recommend. Had a knife pulled on me twice. Once by a temp and another by angry homeowner. Few jobs where carpet and padding was water damaged accompanying by dry (now wet) cat pee. That changes the category which changes how much more work there was. Which all included cat pee. Most companies pair restoration with fire and mold. Check out what a closed door can do when a fire takes place. Really wild.
ahh yes the Post 10 simulator speedrun
Bro is speed running nearly all the sims out there. Next speedrun is probably a game called speedrun simulator. which actually sounds like a good idea
Drain Cleaning Australia would love this
i did NOT expect that you can just dump dirt to manipulate the clear objective
had whiplash when he said "backwards long jump" peak pull
2:12 say that again
