A college event featuring stand-up comedian Rajat Sood at Nirma University in Ahmedabad took an unexpected turn when a professor grabbed a student by the collar on the stage. The incident occurred during Technofora 2026, the annual technical event organised by the university's Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering department. A video widely circulating on social media shows Dr Himanshu Patel, identified as head of the Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering department, addressing the audience while reading something from his phone. While Patel prepared to resume his speech, a student shouted a dialogue from Golmaal 3, "Jaldi bol, kal subah Panvel nikalna hai (Speak quickly, we have to leave for Panvel in the morning)." The professor responded: "Toh nikal le bhai (Then leave, bro)." #NirmaUniversity #Gujarat #Panvel #ViralVideo #IITProfessor About NDTV (English news channel): NDTV is India's Most-Trusted News Broadcaster with the latest updates in news, sports, entertainment and much more from within India and around the world. No feeling of right and wrong... Students are crossing limits..
It's time ...teachers need to be respected...you cannot cross boundaries...

Huge respect to Professor
Cool banane ke chakkar me tha 😂😂
Shame on that young guy, spends all time watching reels.
Sahee kiya hamara teacher hota toh ek laga bhee deta😂
There is a reason he is a teacher and he deserves respect. Be in limits kids.
Well done professor, students are crossing limits of decency.
Immense aura loss for that guy😭😭🙏🏻
Teachers ko disrespect krna toh aaj kal ka trend bna diya hai logo ne....
What the professor said it is needed। He clearly set the boundaries that the day you dare to insult any faculty in the campus you are gone for ever।
insulting your teachers have became a statement of so called Cool kids. He deserved acknowledging your teacher as nikal budhe is not at all cool
Bhai ko panvel nikalna tha pr ushki hawa nikal gyi😂
He did right 👍. These genz's have forgotten what kind of reverence Guru's are given in our culture
If it happened in the 90s or up to maybe 2014 I bet the student would have been slapped multiple times by the faculty 😅
PROFESSOR IS RIGHT.. BADTAMEZO KO DANDE NHI PADE H NA ISLIYE RESPECT BHOOL GYE
Shameless Genz generation If teacher is trying to mingle , do you want to respond this way ? Thats why they remain strict
You cannot disrespect your teachers ..
