Have to admit, even with 7zip knocking around I havent done a build without winRAR for about 25 years WinRAR, VLC, IrfanView, CPU-Z and of course notepad++ are just part of the first run installed software - i genuinely think Id panic a little if it werent on my thumb drive

WinRAR lets you put in parity bits, the cheapest and easiest way to guard against bit rot, otherwise you need another full copy somewhere (yes, hard drives will sometimes bit rot something, if it is a WinRAR file with archive bits, you can recover it, before chkdsk _Deletes_ it)
