Tubles tyre kit puncher and repair short video clips #automobile #trailerbrakes USA #tyre #repair

Any tyre place round here wouldn't do it, they'd say it's too close to the edge, probably to sell you a new tyre 😂

This hole should NOT be repaired like this. It's too close to the sidewall (edge of the tire) and that plug will eventually get pushed out while driving. This is because a tire flexes when it's rolling down the road. The tire tread has a rounded profile until it comes in contact with the road. When it touches the road the weight of the car pushes down and causes it to bulge out which flattens the tread completely against the pavement. That means the tire flexes 2 times per revolution and the edges of the tire experience the most severe flex of the entire thing. Nothing will stay put in a hole that's on the very edge of the tread like that. It's unsafe to put a plug or a patch-plug in it. You need a new tire.
