Well, we made a pretty BIG decision about our backyard! 👀 But first, come spend a realistic Sunday with me as I attempt to get my life together, one little task at a time. 😂 We're starting the morning with homemade sourdough (possibly my best loaf in YEARS!), fresh green juice, a little time outside and a visit to my finally-thriving starfruit tree. Then it's back to everyday life: putting away groceries, football on TV, getting things done around the house and spending time with the family. I'm also sharing a little life update about our decision to get a POOL! We've been thinking about this one, and I'm excited to bring you along as our plans come together. And somewhere between all the ordinary Sunday happenings, we're having a heart-to-heart about grief, the people we've lost, the memories that find us when we least expect them, and the complicated experience of grieving relationships we wish we had with people who are still here. A little cooking, a little productivity, some big plans and a whole lot of real life. Grab something to do around the house and hang out with me! ❤️ Thank you so much for watching, hanging out and being a friend! 🛒 Come shop with me on Costco's Latest for new Costco finds every Friday! https://youtube.com/@CostcosLatest ❤️ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thewadsquad1/ #SundayVlog #MomOf5 #SundayRoutine #DayInMyLife #TheWads #FamilyVlog

Ugh, speaking of grief. Every. single. word you said is so true. Today marks 8 months since my hubby passed unexpectantly. We are only 45, have been together since we were 16. EVERYTHING reminds me of him. Everything is so hard. Thanks for being a light spot in my mornings! Hubby would come in my craft room sometimes and say 'oh you're watching that lady again!" lol ♥
Are we just going to pretend there’s not a little doggo of 100 colors trotting around 😂❤
who else think the big decision is to get the pool? let's find out...😀
You will not regret the pool!! It’s a summer game changer!
The Kimberly TED talk hit hard today! I can't agree more with everything you shared today with family issues and loved ones that are gone! Sending much love ❤ stay soft with yourself. I cried atleast 20 minutes while painting our dinning room chairs lol
I believe that when I get strong memories from a scent or song that reminds me of a loved one who has passed, that it’s the loved one actually with me at that moment. I recently had to put my cat down, and walking out of the clinic I suddenly smelled my mom who passed several years ago. As if she was there to comfort me. Suddenly I felt like a little girl wrapped up in my mom’s arms, safe and sound.
Grief is so weird. I lost my dad in 2020 and my mom in 2022. Sometimes the memories are comforting and sometimes, like you said, they take your breath away. It’s never ending and it’s so hard. ❤
Grief and memories are crazy. My sweetheart of 19 years passed away suddenly 5 years ago and to this day certain songs can't be played without it taking my breath away. The smell of his clothes, the recipes he made us, just everything. I dont know that it will ever get easier to live with honestly.
You’re powering through it all! Way to go Kim. But...don’t forget yourself in all this! 🤗💗🙏🙌👍🏻👍🏻🤗
Can’t wait to see the pool build series! They are only getting more expensive! Now is the time!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
🙋🏽♀️Question🤭 Are we still not talking about the adorable pink flamingo with 4 legs walking around your house.. Nooo okay cool😅😉
So right about the grief .. I lost my brother April 28th.. the grief is so consuming 😔
Ok hay good morning bean happy Saturday.
A good easy dip that I have done over the years is - layer a block of cream cheese spread out, then a can of Hormel chili with or without beans, and top it with a layer of shredded cheddar cheese and bake it. We eat it with either tortilla chips or Fritos, yum!
Hurray!!! Pooool!!!❤❤❤
Exciting times 🎉
Love this video. Awesome. 😊❤
YAY KIM ON A SATURDAY again before I have to go to baseball!!! Hope its a pool?!?!?
My big sister memory is when she took me to the store and let me choose my favorite candy. Tootsie rolls. We didn't do parties or gifts. It was our choice of home made cake and ice cream. Partly the time in the 60s and income to child ratio. I'm child #9 of 14. She was my oldest sister and a decade ahead of me and I looked up to her. We're old now and she was the first to pass from complications of breast cancer. She's part of my Greek chorus or those who have passed. RIP ❤️💓😇 Lucy
Love the view of your garden. Most of all the sunset. We were a family of 5 kids and our house was always full of friends coming over. My mother complained and always asked if there was a sign outside saying :drop your kids here the house is not full yet " merci pour le coucher de soleil
