Every PC should have it's PC Speaker connected. it is the beep of assurance that your computer is still an IBM PC compatible, with some implementation of a pit timer somewhere in the motherboard, giving a gutural ancestral scream. If you don't have the PC Speaker, it is a case of "i have no speaker and i must beep"
