Oh No! Anyway...
Is it just me or has Google released the "call a business for you" feature every year for the last 5 years
4:20 cant wait for my phone to battle a companies AI support bot so they can fix my internet issues
If I'm at work and answer the phone and it some AI agent, I'm just going to hang up.
"The butlerian jihad" had me coughing, nice one
I'm 4 minutes in, and I just had a flashbang moment in my head, where I realized that all this being mentioned, there is no consumer demand is simply just being pushed for no reason. Nothing excites me as a consumer.
Tech companies out here making tons of expensive and/or useless stuff, then acting like nothing happened when no one buys it
At work I refuse to communicate via voice bots. If someone uses a robot calling agent to call my business I simply tell the bot that we refuse to communicate through bots and hang up. I'm not being Anti AI or what ever, I just can't communicated technical details to a robot and expect it to communicated them correctly to my customers. I have tried answering simple questions like "How much does it cost to do something?" But when the answer to the question is dependent on details the bot can't provide and the answer is not something the bot accepts as an answer I just can't.
So let me get this straight. - Meta has announced VR glasses for more than the steam frame costs with none of the benefits of privacy, better wireless PC streaming, or amazing game support. - They also announced glasses that can't record anything (probably the only reason to buy meta glasses) - they announced an ai wearable, something many companies have done and zero have succeeded at. Sounds great, I'll be investing momentarily.
3:40 Didn't Google announce this feature like 8 years ago?
I don't understand, I can't even get an AI document intelligence model to read handwriting with anything near 100% accuracy, are people actually trusting a model to make phone calls and actually do things for them? This sounds so beyond insane to me.
Bad news, the Dacia WirelessGPU is delayed!
4:40 so we will have ai calling ai. becasue all these places it will call already have ai answering services.
In today's news: -Microsoft once again releases Copilot and calls it an OS when it's not an OS -Meta releases Glasses that are not VR glasses but calls them VR glasses -Google tests a feature that can call others for you, for the like 5th time (It's gonna work now, trust) -US finds out that you can import chips into neighbouring countries and then... just walk over the border -Sunglasses that are as hot as the sun, hence the name -Wireless eGPU that needs to be so close to your PC that you could just plug it in -Someone started a drone indoors with a feature that drones have had for a decade -Children wanna talk to their friends online
2:59 Oh, so Bonzi Buddy.
8:02 That person being followed by the drone doesn't look distressed at all, lmao
As a Front Desk agent working at a hotel, the idea of an AI calling me to book your room is not something I welcome. AI agents from online travel agencies already waste enough of my time. Hell, that AI call screening feature is an absolute pain in the ass. We had our pool go out of order for a couple weeks. We had to call all arrivals to notify them them of the closure. When you are calling people by the 100's, having to tell a bot why you are calling before you can tell the human why you are calling is frustrating.
The Butlerian Jihad joke was a really good one lol
Corporations need to realize attaching "AI" to the names of their devices doesn't actually incentivize consumers to buy their products.
I like how Riley became a sort of Australian Viking for the ad segment
