The problem with that case is shock distribution, a standard case distributes the shock across the whole case and absorbs some impact because of the softer plastic. While the metal bikini case will only distribute a shock to one area of the phone, making one wrong drop more likely to damage a screen or other hardware

Real ones know he avoids uneven paths 😭😭

If a full case only increases drop survival by 2% but adds 100% heat trapping and bulk every single day, the bikini case is literally the most optimal trade-off 😭

for more explanation, a normal case wouldn't even protect the back glass. the theory is that the energy of like a jagged rock dropped goes straight through the back of the case.... and straight into the back glass, cracking it. The bikini phone case protects everything you need, because the flat spaces on the phone cant be protected no matter what.
