They don’t treat rapist like this. Imho studios are testing the water for audience acceptance for genAI. First they changed the side actor in PoJ just because he got a BL gig, then the whole intro debacle with Overdo in which people really hate so they have to rework the intro, & now this over a decade old drama over an actress’s tax evasion crime?

This is so unethical.. it's a disgrace to both the actress and the drama itself, imagine having your existence replaced for profit? what a frickin joke. Cheaper doesn't always means better, that replacement seems uncanny and soulless. And what? the AI cooked? letting things like this slide will eventually let gen-AI generalisation in the film industry, if this goes on who's gonna stop the industry to always choose the "cheaper" option? Even if the replacement is based in another living actress, it's honestly just diabolical work. Cancelling an artist but still trying to rack money off of their work is crazy. They didn't get creative, they got exploitative.

The original O2O series is available in my country at Netflix. After watching it I decided to learn Chinese in my free time. I haven't seen the AI version, but she really was a good actress and did a really good job. I bet it's much more difficult to act all those things out without actually talking to colleagues... The friendship in this drama was one of the most important points.... I think the original is still one of the best Chinese series I've watched. The soundtrack is great as well.... I'm happy that the Chinese can watch that drama again 😊

I watched that whole drama because of that freaking Gorgeous female lead... Man it was never about the Male lead for me 😂
