He was pretending to attack his wife/ girlfriend. The dog reacted perfectly with intent. But he also did it without intending to hurt him. Amazing how he/she? ran to check on him. Don't play games with a jujitsu master.

This reminds me of my dog. Our neighbor dog would rush the fence wanting to attack our dog, and my dog thought he was going after me. So my dog would go to defend me with me having him on a leash, and would ragdoll me across the yard. As soon as he realized what happened, he'd come running to me to see if I was okay and would just stand next to me growling at the other dog until I could get back up. He's highly protective of his mama, and anyone who is even upset in my presence gets growled at. He went through trauma before he became mine, and highly latched onto me. He's my good boy.
