Lukaku is still the best finisher in this team. It was a huge decision on Van Bommel's part to leave the country's record goalscorer on the bench, and it backfired spectacularly. If Lukaku is not injured, he should have been brought on for CDK after the hour.

The (very) young France team version Zidane (9 players changed and new out of the 11 from the previous match!) completely dominated this match in Belgium. France had 66% possession of the ball, 1 shot off the crossbar, 1 off the post, 2 penalties unfairly not given, including the very obvious one on Barcola. The referees must've had their eyes closed at that moment. If the final score had been 4 or 5 to 0 for Les Bleus, it wouldn't have shocked anyone who watched the match and remains objective. QED
