I’ve been working on this HUGE house project for 5 months, and I finally get to share it with all of you! My deck has been in desperate need of a full renovation because, even though it looks good from far away, it’s actually rotting and completely unsafe. And since this was such a huge demo project, it gave us the chance to completely rethink the size and design, which led to installing sliding doors to officially bring the outdoors in. So watch as I bring you along for this massive deck renovation and 70s house upgrade to see how it all turned out! - Becky Subscribe for more DIY's!: http://bit.ly/subthesorrygirls Join our Patreon!: http://www.patreon.com/thesorrygirls __________________________________ MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO: *Propane Firepit: https://go.shopmy.us/p-37617255 *Linen Curtains (Canada): https://go.shopmy.us/p-90421528 *Linen Curtains (US): https://go.shopmy.us/p-90422026 *Outdoor Strip Lights (Canada): https://go.shopmy.us/p-90420038 *Outdoor Strip Lights (US): https://go.shopmy.us/p-90420401 (links with an * are affiliate links) __________________________________ VIDEO CHAPTERS: 0:00 - intro 1:00 - the design plan & demo 3:44 - rebuilding the deck 5:45 - starting the window replacement 7:14 - finishing the deck 9:34 - getting lights installed 10:50 - window install day 13:25 - installing recessed lights 18:00 - furnishing the deck 20:15 - creating a mini herb garden 21:36 - thrifting & final touches 23:54 - reveal __________________________________ VIDEO CREDITS Host & Creative: Becky Wright Producer: Nina Pikula Creative Director: Emma Keat Video Editors: Nick Liske & Justin Abalos Social Media: Melanie Parkinson __________________________________ OTHER PLATFORMS @thesorrygirls everywhere! Becky! We needed a nighttime reveal.
Greetings from Finland! I have written this in a past comments, but who wouldn't love to have Becky and Austin as their neighbors? This world would better if it were full of Becky and Austin's. Just lovely humans. Nice, friendly and kind. They seem like the kind of people you could ask or help, or who would ask you for help if they needed it.
Love the treetop vibes, Becky. Please, promise we can revisit when the Magnolia is in full bloom.🤗
Yes, this looks like how the house was meant to be. I would also absolutely love being IN the tree! So glad you were able to build the deck without cutting it back.
It's always a good day when you post a that 70s house video 😊 it turned out so good! I wish you showed what it looks like at night tho, I wanted to see the strip lights in the dark
Very good call on those lights! That made such a big difference. That deck is such a big improvement, it feels like you are in a treehouse now!🤩🌲
That 70's house is truly the best serie of this chanel !! Amazing transformation !
wow the deck looks amazing, shout out to austin and his friend, make sure you have soft furniture feet on all of your furniture! I redecked our deck with composite last year, the only annoying thing is that once you scratch or ding it there’s nothing you can do.
I think you can do a follow up on this too, (maybe a "Sorry Short") because the deck being that much more out there provides like a cover/pergola space for the bedroom patio. So you can get some lighting and stuff to make that space more cozy too!
Being in the tree is sooooo cool. Especially cause it's a Magnolia! Oh, the dream. And the doors out to the patio are like they've always been there. Fantastic job!
4:27 , and placing the wooden beams buried in the concrete has been proven to cause rot, it’s not really something that is done anymore
omg i was never this early i dont even know what to say hahahha
New deck proportions balance everything really well and the glass sliding doors are going to change your entertaining lives.
This House can be so happy to have you taking care of it. <3
I’m so scared that you might be running out of spaces to makeover in your house because this is my absolute favorite series!
the way this series became my favorite off this channel
oh -its STUNNING
I know you don’t do a lot of this but I’m going to need a deck party episode
I found the sorry girls tv and it has been on nonstop for a week, it’s on the background as I watch this video!
You turned a sketchy deck into a major feature. What a stunning space. I want to snuggle up to that magnolia tree right now.
