Oh, Brian, it's going on 6 in the afternoon here in the States, and I've had a very hard day. I sunk down in my recliner and your YouTube video pulled up.... Ahhhhhhh I sure needed this moment of peace with you and your day ! Thanks, Brian.
Yay@! Happy for your "win" with the firewood! Nice to meet your spider friend. You're such a kind soul, I'm sure she appreciates the symbiotic relationship! She's got quite the duplex there!
I’m glad they were able to drop the firewood where you wanted it. Just makes life a bit easier.😊
You seem a terrific human. Thanks for the vlog.
I wish I could bottle your energy and enthusiasm. Wonderful spending time with you, Brian. Safe travels tomorrow.
Amazing drone footage at the start Brian! Loved it! 😊
That sunrise? Sunset? Really beautiful!
always love the choice of music
I spent the first 57 years of an unnecessarily long life in southern California, where we had, what I called, summer spiders, massive things that wove massive wiry webs in places where you had to encounter them. In front of your front door, and other such locations, and when you walked into them, you were engulfed in that web, sending you into a web dance, resembling a frantic, all body Charleston. One night I encountered such a web while leaving a friend's house, and upon arriving home, and bending slightly to open my bed, a huge, sinisterly beautiful spider fell from my head with a plop, onto my sheets. I can't imagine what would have happened had it made its appearance while I drove home. Anyway, I caught it with a water glass, and released it into my yard to create yet more mayhem. Long winded, sorry, but here's to Ariadne, and the respect you show her.
Ari Agne (Ariagne) is lovely! She clearly is the maître de of the barn :)
Spiders are good people. Thanks for introducing us.💖
Love that you care for spiders Brian❤🕷️🕸️🕷️🕸️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️ Every critter needs a home! You are so kind! 🦋bless you ❤
As an Aussie - that’s not a spider, it a wee little baby. If you want one of our house pets they come in dinner plate size!
You're not the only oddball who keeps a friendly spider in your workshop, Brian. I have a black widow in my workshop and another in the garden. They are good help at keeping the insects in check. We've lived together happily for thirteen years. Thankfully my black widows build smaller webs, so they're easier to ignore. But believe me, I keep a mental note of where they live, so I don't reach in there and squeeze them one day. That's about the only time they bite. I don't kid myself: I know there are a good many more here than just the two. We dismantled an old swimming pool when we moved in, and the pool structure hosted dozens of black widow habitats. I didn't allow my helpers to kill them, as I don't like killing. I assume they are still living in the the garden, but I don't see them often.
Your load of wood dumping reminded me (with a laugh) of my step son's wedding on our farm in Maine many years ago. He lived in Asia and the guests were global. Many showed up in their custom-tailored Asian tuxes, perhaps a first for a wedding in a field in Maine. Serious eye candy! Just as the ceremony was about to get underway, in drives a dump truck with 4 cords of wood for our winter supply. The driver stepped from the cab and was like a celebrity faced with a wall of paparazzi! I think it was the highlight of the day for many! Our "wood guy" later told us that his wife ripped him for interrupting a wedding but we assured him that he had made the day.
Nice to meet Ariadne, 🤗🤗 That supply of wood will keep you warm for a long time!
Nothing like the feeling of a new stack of wood... ahhhh...nice.
Nice, relaxing video. Also nice to meet your little friend in the web.
Love your videos Brian … such nice end of the day, so thanks ❣️
Spiders can be wonderful housemates, especially if you sometimes get outbreaks of fruit flies and the like. I pretty much leave spiders alone, just sweep their webs with a broom clad in a pillow case when they start taking over. When I lived in CA, I had a black widow that was living on my patio. I'd ring her bell (tap on her web) now and then to get her to come out and say hi. UNTIL I started finding her babies in the house. That's when I had to get all medieval on her butt. I have cats so... Anyhow, fun video, Brian!
