As a paying Pro subscriber, I’m seriously angry about this decision. $200 a month is already expensive. Cutting the included usage while keeping the same price—and introducing a $500 plan at the same time—feels like a slap in the face. According to current reports, Pro 200’s Work/Codex allowance is dropping from 20× to 10× the Plus allowance, while GPT-6 Pro messages will fall from 200 to 100 per week. OpenAI officially confirms a lower allowance, with eligible existing subscribers keeping their previous limits through October 29. I have no problem with an additional premium plan. But making the existing subscription substantially worse makes upgrading feel like pressure rather than a choice. The “more efficient models” explanation needs evidence. Show us how much comparable work we can actually complete before and after this change. Better models don’t automatically compensate for losing half the reported allowance. And why do customers have to piece these changes together from help pages and news articles? Publish a clear before-and-after comparison. I won’t simply pay $500 because my existing subscription now includes less. I’m considering downgrading to Pro 100 or switching to Anthropic. OpenAI should take that loss of customer trust seriously.

As an avid voice user, I'm so not surprised voice failed in the demo. Seriously it's the abandoned stepchild of chatgpt, always has been, across the different types of voice. Years old bugs never fixed, ugly ux issues, completely lost input etc etc.

The more you get into this infra - the more dependent you become - the more urgent we need to talk about the ownership and continuity of OpenAI. Also the more you rely on one model - the more there is a risk for biases - as you rely on one model. So looks nice - but this comes with some serious questions. Intelligence comes with responsibilities. We have to treat it intelligently - and not naively.

I thought this was a really good keynote but it felt like a bit of a shotgun approach. The speakers were great and felt personable, but it also felt very disjointed between all the different things they wanted to show off. I don't think 6.1 will be quite the response that was needed to Opus 5.5, and while they are winning on pricing, everyone has subs anyway so it doesn't matter for 95% of users. I think the dots shit is absloutely useless, it's the deep specialist work that we need, and people will always turn towards the most capable models for that. For a few weeks it seemed like OAI was giving some serious push to anthropic, but we are back to Claude on top. This competition is great! Excited to see things keep growing
