Hal explains how he got the Lantern ring #shorts #lanterns

Really like how this short is edited in such a way that we don’t see Ryan Reynolds’s face, really helps us envision Kyle’s version of Hal getting the ring

To be very honest this went together so smooth u could actually say this is how Hal from the show origins because him and Ryan Reynolds have the same amount of sarcasm to me

“Good luck or aw fuck” that just seems bloody appropriate

Show is way better than I expected. I want more Kyle/Hal DCU

I love how this show has brought to light and relevance back into older lantern shows like the animated show and 2011 movie. The animation was peak content while the movie wasn’t as bad as everyone made it out to be, even the suits weren’t that bad, just the mask was pretty horrendous but for a construct suit back in 2011. I really hope this show is getting the ratings needed to get the budget and backing from HBO to be a huge show like game of thrones cuz lanterns quality of writing, acting and lore deserves to be explored for many many more seasons.

Perfect collab, literally indistinctiable

OH MY. Did they REALLY just retcon yet acknowledge the Ryan Reynolds one XDDDDD

"good luck or aww fuck" kills me everytime 😂

W truly good show

I know a lot of the aesthetic and choices comes from a limited budget for a superhero show but I do really love the UFO/Alien abduction/invasion aspect of the show

an animated prequel of Lantern would be fire right now, the story of young Hal Jordan voiced by Kyle C. and how he became who he is in the Lanterns show

So why’s that guys ring n not hals actual ring

As a kid. I grew with that 2011 movie, and this is exactly what I imagined on my mind right now as Hal tells his story on that bar ❤

Thank God for Ryan Reynolds green lantern and God bless the editor for putting these scenes together

This was edited together really well, W short

This This is the green lantern we need

The story being abin sur is pretty dope.. originally there was 4 green lantern rings forged at the beginning of the corps. All of the best warriors in the universe gathered and there was a scribe who was simply there to just write down the names of the first four lanterns.. 3 rings choose 3 warriors and the scribe writes down three names the fourth ring ends up choosing the scribe who wasn’t a warrior at all. That scribe happened to be abin sur. Abin sur was also the very first green lantern to create a fully fledged construct. There’s way more to his origin story but it’s cool because Hal Jordan is only the second person ever chosen by one of the original four rings.

I like to imagine that the events of the Green Lantern movie were canon to the DCU. Because they seem precisely aligned with the canon of that universe.

I was wondering "huh? did I miss a scene?" realise this was Ryan's gl 😂😂😂

This show is a lot better than i thought it would be i hope they keep it on for a while.
