Rubix intro: Super detailed, lore friendly set up with a killer cinematic and an op so obviously designed with creativity and passion The rest of the video: Ignis Corps
It took me like 5 edits to make an intro for this one that wasn’t like 15 minutes long explaining things so hopefully this one doesn’t drag on too long lol. Quite a bit of work went into this between writing all the possible branching events and making a game system for it but so far Verdance has actually been a blast. Hopefully it’s interesting to watch! The arma ops themselves are not nearly as heavily subtitled because I wanted to preserve a little more of the battle feeling along with making a video you can enjoy a lot easier on a 2nd monitor or enjoying a meal lmao. Let me know what you think and fingers crossed it does well so we can do more!
2nd operation commander here. “Twelve men. Twelve names that will become nothing more than numbers on a casualty report. But I knew them. I heard their voices. I gave the order that sent them to their deaths. They were afraid, and they stood anyway. So tonight, I mourn them. Tomorrow, I take up my lasgun and stand where they fell. The Imperium may forget twelve men. I will not. For the twelve. Hold the line. Emperor protects”
Only 73 friendly casualties to the enemies 1100?!?! That’s an outstanding victory in the 40k universe. THE EMPEROR PROTECTS!
18:35 The *one* time I get out of my 'Command Taurox', I immediately have an attempt on my life by a sniper in the brush. My ass isn't walking anywhere on Verdant Prime, anymore. I've got opps out here.
The last time I was this early, Cadia hadn't fallen yet
Toten played a 40k comissar perfectly being the last man standing killing 30 people before falling
Honestly, this story driven arma operation style is so entertaining to watch. It feels like a weird fusion of reality TV and DND, how you managed to put those aspects together is unimaginable to me, however in my opinion it works and would love to see more of ignis somehow defying lords will to die.
Bro's hitting the Captain Fordo in the thumbnail
This is SUCH A COOL IDEA! The mixture of Arma ops and TTRPG roleplay itches the theater kid part of my brain like nothing else. Plus props to everyone playing here, they did so well. It's so funny to think that an Ignis Corp Op succeeding with little casualties is such a foreign concept. This is awesome, keep doing it.
Astra Mili-what? You're in the Guard son.
at this rate we need to give Jay and his team an industrial kitchen, because what they are cooking up is insane
Those Kasrkin are just goated. May the Emperor protect and see them through this campaign. Also I don't know about others, but I am thoroughly enjoying the gameplay intertwined with TTRPG elements. You are a storysmith Jay, keep 'em coming.
Having vox in the void as the opener was absolutely sick.
3:31 maaaaaaan
He says he has no idea if this is fun to watch, meanwhile this is one of the most entertaining videos Jay has made so far...keep them coming and please make more campaigns like this in the future. A halo or star wars one would be pretty fun.
32:57 Love the Rimmy cameo.
The TTRPG sections are amazing because for one it gives more fun and gives a good intro into the company getting stuff as well as truly unhinged shenanigans! Amazing work as always can't wait for episode two!
"We are abandoned . . . but not by him; he is with us, our fellow man has forgotten us down here and retreated, but he has not forgotten us; he marches with us through the monsoons and the fog; he hikes up and down the hills as we make our march. It is by his will we shall make it off this world and continue the fight . . . . the Emperor protects" - excerpt from a Guardsman's journal of the 550th Cadian regiment
I saw the length of this video and went "Oh this is like near movie....I trust Rubix quality, it only been getting better" and yeah. SUPER NOT DISAPPOINTED great vid mate, super excited to see part 2-5.
