My dog ran outside when it has been damp for days, he full on sprinted out of the door as soon as he hit the wood step he slipped and hurt his hip the rest of his life, he limped for days, we didnt have money for a vet for him, he forced him to lay down on the couch with us, food and water right there, he got better but that side always bothered him

Their legs are not designed to move perpendicular to their frame, only parallel, forth and back. Do not do this.

Instead of doing that I jokingly move my legs to the side and walk directly above my dog so that way when she stops in confusion no one gets hurt

I used to do this with my mom. Instead my feet it was a shopping cart. 😊 I can still feel the handle ripped out my palms as she takes over pushing the cart.
