I agree 100% that Lily can't stay, for her sake and for the sake of your herd, especially the calves. As hard and as sad as that will be, I think overall you'll feel relieved that you won't have to worry about your animals being harmed. Gr8 that Shy will take her! 💕
Rae you and Chad are doing the right thing! I can only imagine how this will break your heart, but it is for the calves safty!
Rae the decorations look nice 😊. Sorry for this difficult decision. Blessings to you and Chad. You will make the best decision. God will guide you.. 😇🙏
You know what is best for your animals, don't delay.
So sorry that you have this situation with Lily.. Prayers for wisdom and strength to you all..
Guys we know that you will make the best decision for everyone! And we know that the best decision is not necessarily the easiest decision. God Bless You! 🙏
Great explanation of what is going on with Lily. She is a good donkey. It will be sad if she has to go, but you need to do what is best for all.
I totally agree with you about not putting her with Chilli and Beans. She's too dominant
Your devotion hit home today
Rae: Please take this as a bit of advise from someone who has been around horses, donkeys and mules for 50 years. You need to work with those animals frequently (halter breaking, grooming, farrier, vet, just spending time) with the above. You can't just not do anything with them. She should have been halter broken and trained to stand tied from a foal. This is very important for their safety and any human that has to work with them (vet, farrier, yourselves) especially in the case of a injury or if they have to go the vet due to colic, or any other issue. I refuse to have any Equus species on my property or ownership if it is not halter broke, broke to stand tied, or walks quietly onto a trailer anymore. Not worth the risk to family, professionals, or friends, or strangers for that matter. No equine is 100% safe, but if they are at least 95% trained and have manners you should not have a issue. Makes it easier to correct bad habits if they can be tied also. If I remember correctly when you first got Lucy she was halter trained, you took the halter off and never gave her a refresher again. I personally think some of the habits Lily has were learned by watching the other donkeys, who you got rid of also. Ban me if you want, just being honest from my point of view of raising, training and showing horses for 30 of those 50 years (paint horses, appaloosa's, training pack mules, race horses, pleasure horses, and endurance horses).
Rae, if you will plant the mums in the ground and once they are done for the season cut them back. Next year they will return bigger and better! The second year you can divide them !
Rae, Iove your Fall decorating at the gate. Beautiful!
Yes Lilly is doing what Lucy did. I feel for the little calves with her being a big bully going after them its mean of Lilly doing it I would be disappointed if Lilly has to go or be isolated by herself..Yet I understan🎉the reason why.For the safety of the herd and Lilly herself It is a difficult and heartbreaking decision to make..So you have to use your on call of what to 😂. My heart goes out to you and Chad .as much you love and care about each one of them Sending prayers for your family
I know that all of us know that you and Chad will do what is best for Lily and the calves. Sending love and prayers
The butterflies are beautiful. Thank you for showing us.
