Honestly, the MacBook Pro M1 Pro still going strong and I love it. I've been waiting for the redesign, but with these crazy price hikes, it's going to take a lot of convincing to get me to part with it and upgrade.
M6 air is what I need. 2nm for more performance, better thermal & even longer battery life. 120hz display will be icing on the cake.

OLED is a luxury I might consider paying for, but I have zero interest in a touch screen laptop unless apple pulls off some new ergonomics paradigm.
The M5 Ultra chip being too hot for a Macbook reminds me of 20 ago years when the PPC G5 was too hot to put inside a Powerbook.

It's gonna be called Macbook Pro like before. They're gonna keep selling only the base M chip Macbook Pro in a Mini led design just like they sold the old 13 inch Macbook Pro with the base M chip along with new design reserved for the Pro and Max chips.

When Apple released the retina MacBook Pro in 2012, they called it the “MacBook Pro with Retina display”. And sold it alongside the previous unibody generation. So they could come up with something like that.
