I have used touch screen devices for decades. I just don't like making the primary display filthy and keep cleaning it everyday. Rather use a secondary touch screen display that mirrors the display (like a Wacom Cintiq) that has Apple's tech finesse.
Does ANYONE care about touchscreens on something that isn't a hybrid/convertible? I can promise you that if my MBP had one, I would not use it at all.
I don't care about touch screen. I care about cellular connectivity.

Im wondering who will use it. Pinch to zoom is faster - no my man faster is while editong video using keyboard and gestures on trackpad pinch there not to move hands to touch screen and then return. You dont need to buy mac - just do thst gesture on non touch - you will get how stupid it is also fingers on screen - on phone thats fine but noton screen that you use for collor correction. Not saying idea of touchscreen is bad there will be great use cases but for video editing its no go - you will be slower by just going back to normal position
What if new macbook airs get mini leds and the new pros get the Oleds? Wouldn't that be nice😊

I would not pay a penny more for the touchscreen. That is a terrible idea to begin with. Why do you need touchscreen on laptop?
The touchscreen functionality gives great advantage to the dynamic island: when need to immediately start playing music, and hit the shortcut buttons, don't have to move trackpad/mouse pointer all the way up to to top. Would be nice if the touch focus point would have its own separate location from the trackpad/mouse pointer, so it stays there even after touchscreen action.

1:35 could also just be pinch to zoom support for the viewer. It's been there (on trackpads) for the timeline for ages, but you can't do it on the viewer.
It could be that the Ultra MacBooks are so expensive that they have no choice but to offer also their Pro counterparts.
I heard the oled macbook pros will be getting a lot thinner I hope the speakers dont suck like the new iPad pros.
