Love your vlogs! ❤️ Just wanted to mention that the author of 1984 is George Orwell, not Oswell. Also, I don’t think Orwell’s comments about women in the book necessarily mean that he disliked women. When he describes women as being among the most bigoted adherents of the Party, he’s making an observation about the way people can become devoted to an ideology and accept it without questioning it. I actually think it’s an interesting point that’s worth discussing rather than dismissing simply because it isn’t flattering towards women. Propaganda often appeals to people’s emotions, and Orwell was very interested in how easily emotions can be manipulated by political systems. I’m saying this as a woman myself I think it’s important that we’re willing to think critically about ideas, even when they challenge how we’d like to see ourselves or our own sex represented. We don’t have to dismiss something just because it isn’t telling us that women are great!

1984 is so good- one of my favourite classics! And really recommend Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde :) Also since you asked I think the living room needs to be more coherent. The coffee table, tv stand and mirror don't fit the new aesthetic you're building with the sofa, cushions and painting etc. Maybe a more vintage style gold framed mirror, classic off white/natural wood tv stand with a painted feature wall behind, natural wood and glass top coffee table, maybe a large rug that pics up on the colours in the pillows but still muted, another painting/picture on a wall next to the door, a warm coffee throw on the sofa that's furry. You could even add a bookself? Just some ideas! Hope it helps x
