I personally like watching your vlogs bc you donβt do constant ads. Even if you are gifted something you say it and then give your honest feedback. What I canβt watch anymore is the constant ads thatβs while I had to unfollow most people at this point. I donβt feel like you constantly shoutout brands to then get them to sponsor you etc etc. while I canβt totally relate to your lifestyle I enjoy seeing what another gal does with her day. Cute drinks, outfits, work out classes we can all relate to
Tara. You know me. I will be here until you are done YouTube. You are one of the very few people that make me feel so safe, very seen and that all my quirks are NORMAL. I have been here since your videos in your childhood bedroom. You have done something right to keep me coming back. I am always so appreciative of your honesty with your growth or changes in your life or your mistakes. We need more people like you and f the rest. β₯οΈβ₯οΈ
βThe ones who mind, donβt matter, and the ones who matter, donβt mindβ is what iβve always lived by when it comes to being perceived π
The conversation about authenticity really stuck with me. I think weβve reached this weird point online where even βbeing authenticβ can become another performance, where people feel like they have to package vulnerability or imperfection in a way thatβs still aesthetically pleasing and consumable. Maybe real authenticity is simply allowing yourself to exist without constantly wondering how it will be perceived. Loved this chat and the slower, everyday feel of this video. Also, since soup has apparently entered the conversation pumpkin soup will forever be undefeated. Weβre just coming out of soup season here in Australia and Iβm already mourning it lol. xx
it feels illegal being this early
What are YOUR thoughts on social media and the concept of being perceived (online and IRL)?! And how it's changed over the years?! So curious to hear your thoughts! β₯ Use my code for 10% off your next SeatGeek order*: /RrnK/TARA10 Sponsored by SeatGeek. *Restrictions apply. Max $25 discount
Iβve been watching you since 2015 and you and your family are the most sweetest and down to earth people Iβve seen. Donβt listen to what people say they are just jealous that they donβt have your life but guess what you have worked your ass off for this life! You deserve to enjoy itπ«Άπ»β¨
Social media and nitpicking culture behind the screen has definitely impacted the world in a pretty large way. As a teacher, I see it showing up as major perfectionism and judgmental tendencies, that definitely feel at an all time high. And I attribute this to what youβre sharing where which is just that there is this nitpicking happening when people are consuming content that is really toxic and creating a lot of bad side effects for society. Thanks for talking about this β€οΈ
I live in the same small city as Rebecca Yarros. Apparently her father passed away this last weekend, suddenly, and I canβt imagine how sheβs feeling. Sheβs understandably, put her events on hold. Iβve had difficulty starting and stopping book 2 and wonder about the reading order of these.
Regarding authenticity, I think the easiest thing is to be your natural self, and the onus is on your audience not to judge.
Comfort creator!!!
thats really one of the greatest things about aging as a woman, finally not giving a shit what others are thinking about you.
if youβve never made mistakes or done goofy shit you have not lived. itβs the best and definitely stuff youβll laugh about it the future
Iβm a new follower on YouTube and I randomly stumbled across a snark page about you on Reddit, I donβt understand snark pages. They are so obsessed with hating you, I couldnβt ever be a public figure
Tara I think you would enjoy more weight focused workouts! Not the hyrox ones, those are so intense :D or maybe try a dance class, there's so many fun things to try with classpass
Putting a lid on the pot while the orzo simmers will stop the liquids from evaporating completely
You shouldn't care about what you do on social media bc 50% of the platforms are bots... by design, to keep us divided. None of it is real anymore.
This vlog made me spontaneously buy a ticket to see The Jonas Brothers on Thursday haha
The orzo looks amazinggg, its my new obsession there's just so many ways to make it
I used to be so self conscious about so many things but honestly stepping away from social media (instagram in particular), not caring what people think, and being able to laugh at yourself are some of the best things you can do for yourself. I was actually in downtown Toronto on the weekend for a friendβs birthday and we did a workout class together (felt like i was living your life for the day!). It was a super small class and I took my glasses off because they were bothering me and actually it gave me so much relief to do the class without seeing tiny details about myself. It was kinda freeing and made me think so much less about myself and it was so peaceful. Turning the blinders on (literally) but its such a good reminder to focus on whatβs really important. Anyways Iβm from Ottawa - lowkey hoping Iβd run into you to say hi!! One thing I really enjoy about your videos is your relationship with food. You probably donβt think about it much but itβs so freeing to see someone listen to their body, eating healthy most of the time, but not restricting themselves to enjoy what they want to enjoy. Not sure if you have always been this way (I only started watching you more recently) but I admire it a lot
