I completely agree with you. I would totally want the entrance done next, coming home to a mess is mentally draining, but if have it decorated, you won't 'feel' that 'slump' when you come home. Also you have a couple of ways to enter your home, so on messy days you use them, and on normal days you can use the Fancy Entrance! 😃

Re the entrance tiles, you could put a contrasting boarder tile just around the outside, of the entrance hall. It would add a little bit of interest to the floor without taking over
