I was fully expecting Katie to walk in and ask for directions to their camping supply department. 😀
They do say if you have to ask the price you cant afford it anyway .
Baby girl...rich folks put their pants on just like us! Hold you're head up high and soldier on!✌🤗
I would say in fairness that many big cities dont have the most welcoming inhabitants , but Londoners do take it to a whole new level
from scotland to londonistan..... you get about Katie....lol
Hi Again Kati, You Always have such Great Videos!! Makes our week go by Better!! Thank you for sharing these Great reviews. And Thank you for being so Honset and down to earth and no AI!!😊
When I lived in London I was friends with the Au Pair for the CEO of Shell Europe. They shopped at Harrods. Furniture, clothes, groceries. When I say they I mean whoever they employ to do it. I visited their house in Knightsbridge and I understood what an alien feels like. An acute feeling that I was trespassing in a world not meant for me. Oh and they have an advent calendar for £350.
Seems to be the toughest challenge you've ever had.
Your personality and mannerisms are worth more than the entire Harrods building and all its contents. You're high class Katie, where ever you roam you clearly brighten the place up. I know what you mean about the big smoke, it can be cold as ice, and then again it can be proper amazing, but, plenty of the time its just hard as nails. I'm sure plenty people that you passed by were wondering why everything suddenly seemed much nicer as you plod by down the street, considering you're like a magical sparkling diamond rainbow. Stay safe Katie!
You’re fantastic Katy. Really enjoyed it. Like walking through Harrods with a friend. And I just realised something. You and I have something in common. We’ve both visited Harrods once. Me in 1987. You in 2026. Thanks for showing me through again. I loved it. Geoff, from Fremantle, Western Australia
I would love to do some window shopping there someday Katie 😄 cheers Ty 👍
Katie I’m from London and i always smile. Most people in London are not Londoners so don’t think we’re not friendly. But I’m from east London so we’re probably the friendliest. x
"I've never seen so many things in my life" Meanwhile your camping trips: 😢
I enjoyed the video. One thing I'd add as someone who's been to Harrods quite a few times over the years is that I wouldn't necessarily take the people in there as representative of Londoners or London itself. Harrods is such a major tourist destination that a lot of the people you see are visitors, people staying in nearby hotels, international tourists, or people passing through Knightsbridge. You do get Londoners there of course, but it's a very specific slice of the city. Also, I can completely understand why it felt intimidating. Even as a kid I found places like that overwhelming, although at the time I didn't realise some of my anxiety around crowds and busy environments was related to what was later diagnosed as autism. Looking back now, I can appreciate how nerve-racking Harrods could feel for someone who isn't used to it, especially while filming yourself in front of a camera. For me, Harrods was always more like a very famous department store than a reflection of London as a whole. If you wanted to see everyday Londoners, you'd probably get a better picture on a normal high street, in a supermarket, on the Tube, or in a shopping centre than in one of the most famous luxury stores in the world.
Years ago the only thing i bought from Harrods was some truffle chocolates from the food hall, just so i could get a wee Harrods carrier bag with them & I'd spend the rest if the day with my carrier bag on show like i was some big shot lol.
I started watching this, but then I realized I wasn't in an appropriate state. So I stopped the video, showered thoroughly, then put on a three piece suit after I was out, and then finished the video.
Welcome to London my place of birth. Nice to see you down south❤
London draws huge visitor numbers. It's likely that a great majority of the people you encountered weren't Londoners at all, especially at so central and touristy a location.
You're too good for that place. I have lived in London for 60 years, never been, never going.
Brilliant Katie. The only time we've been to 'Arrods' (if you know, you know!), I bought a small teddy bear. It only cost me a kidney, but at least I still have a bag! The food hall is amazing though. You just need to leave your soul as a deposit. Try the Barras!
