Jarvis, reverse engineer Intel Management Engine and delete all FBI backdoors. Make no mistakes.
I was watching this thinking: "Damn these new Anthropic/OpenAI models are crazy" and then he goes "So GLM 5.3 did this in 15 minutes". You don't even need top shelf models anymore. *I* use GLM 5.3. Just wild.
All I hear is that potentially HP printers will be liberated to work with aftermarket cheaper ink again 🤣
Do us all a solid and hack HP Printer firmware to allow printing without WiFi.
The avalanche of recomps/decomps/ports speaks for itself lol
maybe I should just bake bread as a career atp
Is there going to be a part 2 in which the decrypted binary is modified, re-encrypted, and flashed onto the monitor?
As someone in another video's comment section said "It is beautifully ironic that companies who push unwanted AI slop on us have to now worry about that AI ruining their awful business practices" (or something along those lines)
Anyone can create these updates to mess with your monitor!
„I‘m a 34 inch enjoyer“ 😭😭😭
Hey Ed, your dishwasher just hacked your fridge and it said you're eating too much ice cream. The dishwasher said to change to a different and more expensive dishwasher soap.
Frankly, I'm more impressed by the fact that Ghidra has an MCP server now
Personally I think it's kind of insane that we even have closed source firmware blobs at all. When you buy hardware you should have access to everything that is needed to run, maintain and repair that hardware. Firmware source code, PCB schematics, component lists, everything. You know... in case the manufacturer disappears or something breaks outside of warranty. I also don't trust security through obscurity.
All I'm hearing is that HP printers might finally be freed to use cheaper third party ink again 🤣 Finally Claudixum got out!
Is there gonna be a part 2 where the decrypted binary is modified and re encrypted and flashed to the monitor?
This is another important demonstration that, while AI has some frightening downside risks, it has huge potential to help humans improve the entire software development process. Thanks for this post, Ed
I have a professional printer from 2004. it still holds up due to the way it works. the only problem was the print job software. it only runs on windows 2000. So i asked claud to reverse engineer the protocols it uses and create a write up. after half an hour i knew exactly how everything worked. it wrote me docs and everything. Its actually insane. ive done projects like this before but they took me weeks
Wouldn't it be interesting if someone could build on this and maybe build an alternative firmware for LG televisions to remove the spyware ?
Plot twist, the Low Level sign has been hacked and switched off.
