Finally, Making Progress! | Cosy Autumn Bedroom Makeover

The bedroom makeover is finally moving forward! 🍂 This week I’m laying the new SPC smoked oak floor and taking another big step towards creating the cosy, Nancy Meyers-inspired bedroom I’ve had in my head. After last year’s renovations, this room became a bit of a dumping ground, and bringing it back to life has been quite the process. We’ve decluttered, pulled up the old flooring, stripped the wallpaper, survived a painting disaster and now it’s finally time to start putting the room back together. For the new flooring, I chose a warm smoked oak SPC plank rather than continuing the herringbone from my hallway and kitchen. I wanted the rooms to flow together while still giving the bedroom its own look, and I’m so happy with how much warmth the wood has already brought into the space. The room is still very much a work in progress, but the goal is a warm, layered cottage bedroom with a little Nancy Meyers inspiration, just in time for autumn.
